- Me: It stand for 'One True Pairing.' basically, it means that they're my favorite ship.

- Me: No, I mean, Ship...like...I ship them. 'A ship' is a couple or a 'pairing'. Like relation-SHIP
- Friend: *You are a crazy person look* So 'shipping' is...
- Me: Like......I want them to be together in the show/book/movie I'm watching/reading.
- Friend: Why would you want them to be together? It's already written! You can't change it!
- Me: Because some pairings are so beautiful you want to add on to the already written cannon.
- Friend: But what if a 'ship' isn't cannon?

- Me: Painfully.
